Spread across 120 hectares of rare tropical vegetation on a headland peninsula on Mahé’s northwest coast, Constance Ephelia sits between two beaches and overlooks the protected waters of Port Launay Marine National Park. The resort’s 312 suites and villas span both sides of the peninsula, with the north beach’s calmer waters and granite-boulder shoreline offering conditions particularly well suited to snorkelling, while the south-facing cove provides sheltered swimming through most of the year. A preserved mangrove forest at the centre of the property divides the two resort areas and forms the ecological heart of the site.

Dining spans five restaurants and bars from the fine-dining Cyann, with its views across the marine park, to the casual Seselwa and a beachfront grill serving Creole seafood and live show cooking. Non-motorised water sports are complimentary, and the activity programme extends to zip-lining through the mangrove canopy, rock climbing on the granite boulders, and guided snorkelling excursions into Port Launay’s protected reefs. The spa village, among the largest in the Indian Ocean, offers hydrotherapy circuits and Shiseido treatment rooms alongside outdoor terraces embedded in the tropical garden.

Constance Ephelia’s sustainability commitments extend from the active mangrove nursery, which repopulates degraded sections of the park, to conservation partnerships with the Seychelles Islands Foundation focused on the endemic Seychelles Sheath-tailed bat and the marine ecosystems of Port Launay. The resort’s scale and facilities make it capable of catering to a wide range of guest expectations, while its setting within a functioning national park gives daily life here a quality that more conventional resort landscapes rarely achieve.
