On a private island in Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of the few atolls in the Maldives where the migration of whale sharks and manta rays through the coral channels is a reliable seasonal feature, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru occupies an island of particular ecological significance.
