Within the Singita Grumeti concession in the western Serengeti, Singita Serengeti House is a fully exclusive private villa accommodating up to eight guests in four bedrooms, with its own vehicle, ranger, tracker, chef, butler, and plunge pool, operated entirely for the use of a single family or group. The house’s design combines the materials and aesthetic of the Singita style — stone, wood, natural fibres, and the careful use of African art and objects — with the more informal, residential atmosphere of a private house rather than a camp, and the absence of other guests gives the villa an atmosphere of complete territorial ownership over its corner of the Grumeti landscape. The house’s terrace looks across open plains that the group’s private vehicle covers at its own pace and according to its own programme each day.

The private ranger and tracker team builds each day’s game-drive schedule around the family’s interests, pace, and specific wildlife priorities, with full access to the concession’s intelligence network and the flexibility to extend drives, change direction, or stay with a particular sighting for as long as the wildlife situation rewards attention. Private walking safaris, specialist photographic programmes, and night drives under the Serengeti’s exceptional dark skies are among the activities the house team arranges without reference to a fixed camp schedule. The chef prepares menus from fresh Tanzanian produce according to the family’s preferences and dietary requirements.

Singita Serengeti House’s contribution to the Grumeti Fund’s conservation work is proportionally significant, as the villa’s operating costs are calculated to make a direct financial contribution to the concession’s anti-poaching operations, community employment programmes, and the environmental education work conducted with the communities that border the protected area.
